Houston, TX – On Saturday, July 29, Houston workers, neighbors, parents, youth, and people of conscience will hold a public hearing in response to the current Texas Special Legislative Session. This legislative year will cement the legacy of Governor Abbott, Dan Patrick and extreme politicians as the people who waged attacks on women’s health, public education, workers, communities of color, communities of faith, immigrants, local government, and the LGBTQ community — all Houstonians, and Texans.
WHO: Families and neighbors, Texas Senate District 17 constituents
WHAT: People’s Hearing: 2 minute public testimonies to let the extreme politicians of the Texas Legislature know that they do not share our city’s values, that they are not fit to move our state forward
