Hi, All
We’re all looking forward to November, but there’s still so much work to do to continue fighting the Trump agenda while building the political infrastructure needed to take back the House (and maybe the Senate). For now, here’s everything you need to know to fight the GOP’s agenda in February:
1 Make sure you are registered to vote
The deadline to register to vote in 2018 primaries is coming up, and varies by state. In Texas, the last day to register is Monday, February 5, ahead of the start of Primary early voting on February 20. Take a few minutes to verify that your voter registration is current, and that your address is correct.

To encourage voter registration, Texas election law provides for County Voter Registrars to designate individuals to assist in the registration of eligible persons to vote. These individuals are appointed as Volunteer Deputy Registrars and operate under State rules and the supervision of the County Voter Registrar. To qualify, you must be 18, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Texas.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA aka that guy who once recused himself from the Russia investigation after sneaking into the White House) has put together a now-public “memo” of talking points to shield Trump from accountability. This document is a fabricated political stunt to stop the Mueller investigation.

Be ready to mobilize quickly about the Mueller’s investigation. Things are moving quickly in the Russia investigation if Special Counsel Mueller or Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein are fired. We’ve teamed up with MoveOn.org and dozens of other allies to plan rapid response actions in case Trump takes significant actions to undermine the Trump-Russia investigation.

Starting March 5, thousands of families will be torn apart as Dreamers lose their status. We’ve updated our Immigrant Ally Toolkit to help you support Dreamers. DACA recipients will begin losing their protections at a rate of hundreds a day beginning March 5, and Trump and his white supremacist cronies are holding Dreamers hostage to push a radical anti-immigrant agenda. The fight in Congress over Dream Act continues, but there are ways that you can help locally.

5 Start planning events to fight Trump’s infrastructure plan on February 12 and 13
Trump’s infrastructure framework was leaked last week (read our explainer on it here). His plan is expected to lean heavily on private investors to finance rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure. It won’t help smaller rural communities and communities of color with the repairs they need to their roads, bridges, transit systems, schools, affordable housing, water systems, and electric grids.

2018 will signify the end of the first year of Trump rule, punctuated by a direct attack on The People, including American families, civil rights and freedoms, our communities, our safety and security, government accountability, and our right to #Resist the vicious, anti-American, anti-democratic Trump-Pence Regime. Trump’s overreach into the lives of all Americans has relied on divisive rhetoric meant to crack the country in two, rob us of our savings, and obstruct justice at every turn.
This much is clear: The President is unfit for office.
On February 17, we are calling for our unfit minority President to resign his post and restore American policy to its previous mantle. This regime is a danger to us all. It must be removed in power so the United States can begin the healing process our country so desperately needs.
Join us Saturday, February 17, at noon at Houston City Hall as part of a National Impeachment Day in cities across the United States. Make a statement- no matter who you are- that autocracy and plutocracy will not rise to power and plunder in the United States of America.
March for The People. March for Freedom.
